Albania to issue 10,000-leke note

The Banka e Shqiperise (Bank of Albania) has announced it will issue a new note and denomination of 10,000-leke making it the highest denomination in the country, according to the site Albanian Daily News. The new note will have a portrait of the poet Asdreni intertwined with the National Flag and a line of the National Anthem. 

The exact date of issue hasn't been announced yet, but it will be soon. 

Update 3-3-2019: The new banknote will be issued in 2020.
