My collection

So how big is the collection and what do the banknotes look like? Here are three ways to see that.

1. You can choose a country from the dropdown menu on the right side of your screen and it will take you the country page where you can see which banknotes fronm that particular country are in my collection. The scans you see are not by me by the way (most of the time that is!) but I use them here as an example.

2. I’ve made a summary of all the countries or states who have issued banknotes. I realize this is not a complete summary: should you include for instance German towns and villages who have issued their own Notgeld or should you just combine them under 'Germany'? But as a first draft it’s pretty complete.
The list also shows if a country is still issuing banknotes and (as a reminder to myself) I’ve marked a country when it’s part of my collection.
You can find the list here.

3. With a widget I’ve marked all the countries in my collection on a world map. One of my goals is to have at least one banknote from every country so you can see that particularly Africa still has some ‘terra incognita’.
